Hi,

I am visiting Bournemouth in the New Year. Can anyone recommend somewhere close to the beach to stay which isn't too expensive?

Thanks

Dave

Hello!
Good to meet a new user! we're some of the first on here!nice one when it really takes off next yearWhistle

Theres plenty of cheap>resonable hotels/guest houses in the Bournemouth area.
Good place is certainly the main www.Bournemouth.co.uk webpage, there are many places around Southcote/Knverton Road, and this is close to Boscombe Pier/beach/surf reef and not far from Bournemouth Pier/town centre. Good location as its central to where us surfers want to go.

If you aim for somewhere near Boscombe Pier (where the reef is), you can walk down to surf, or drive down and park up with your gear. We always park on the promenade and chill in the cafes after a surf, or can drive/walkfurther up the promenade all the way to Bournemouth which is great for everything, but the surfings pretty much flat unless you like very small waves. Very nice though and loads of bars/cafes/shops!

Cheers
Poze

Hi,

There is also the link on this website for accommodation. We will be improving it in the New Year so that visitors can search on more specific criteria such as equipment storage or family friendly hotels/guest houses.

Watch this space!

Merry Xmas to everyone.
